The Mark Membership™

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 24, 2026

Our commitment

We want every actor to be able to use this membership, including members who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions, or reduced motion. We treat accessibility as part of the build, not a later pass.

Conformance target

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and by mobile app store review. This applies to the website, the member hub, and the wrapped iOS and Android builds, which render the same interface.

What we have done

  • A single main landmark on every page, with a skip to content link that appears on keyboard focus.
  • Visible focus rings on every interactive control, tuned for both light and dark surfaces.
  • Accessible names on icon only buttons, carousels, avatars, and media players, and alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Labels and error messaging tied programmatically to every form field, including the Find a Reader and Ask a Coach composers.
  • Status changes, such as returned tapes or new messages, announced politely to assistive technology rather than shown by colour alone.
  • Full support for the reduced motion setting on your device, and layouts that use the real mobile viewport so nothing is trapped behind browser chrome.

Known limitations

  • Member and coach uploads, including self tapes, voice notes, and video answers, are created by people rather than by us and do not always carry captions or transcripts. If you need a transcript of a coach answer, contact us and we will provide one.
  • Live video sessions rely on your browser or device video stack, which we do not control end to end.
  • Third party checkout pages are hosted by our payment provider and follow their own accessibility practices.

Feedback and requests

If any part of this membership is hard to use, email support@themarkmembership.com with the page and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days and will offer the content another way while we fix the underlying issue.

Assessment approach

We test with automated checks against WCAG 2.1 AA on every release, alongside manual keyboard only walkthroughs of sign in, the hub, Ask a Coach, and Find a Reader. This statement is updated whenever the picture changes.
